An Integrative Approach
Using trauma- informed, evidence-based interventions such as Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), an integrative approach is taken to address your unique needs and concerns.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy is a collaborative and client-centered approach that assists individuals in exploring their life experiences and creating new stories that align with their values and goals. This intervention will be used to help you re-author your life story.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), developed by Steven C. Hayes, helps you build a different relationship with your thoughts and emotions rather than trying to control or eliminate them.Instead of getting stuck in difficult thoughts or feelings, ACT teaches skills to create space from them, stay grounded in the present moment, and focus on what truly matters to you. In counselling, ACT supports you in taking meaningful action aligned with your values—so you can move forward with greater clarity, flexibility, and purpose, even in the midst of challenges.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, time-limited psychotherapy that helps individuals identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors contributing to emotional distress. By focusing on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and actions, CBT empowers individuals to develop healthier coping strategies and improve their mental well-being.
InterPersonal NeuroBiology
Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), developed by Daniel J. Siegel, explores how our brain, body, and relationships work together to shape our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This approach helps make sense of why we react the way we do, especially in response to stress or past experiences. It highlights that our patterns are not flaws, but adaptive responses shaped over time. In counselling, IPNB supports greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthier relationships—helping you move toward greater balance, connection, and resilience.
